It was after five pm on a Monday and though we were assured a rainless night, it hadn't given up on raining! Brian and I were relaxing there commenting on the weekend's footy results, at the ready for the seventh call for the day to arrive. Eventually we had the phone call from a lovely women on a business excursion who had gone to the Shell petrol garage in Warfield and filled petrol in a diesel Kia rental car by mistake. She was somewhat agitated it seemed, crying "I still can't believe that I have ruined the vehicle! I'm just so used to filling up my petrol car I completely didn't remember that I was operating a diesel!" We advised her to take it easy and not to be concerned, and also that things like this unfortunately do happen. She was able to get the vehicle into a secure spot and, because it was just a short distance off from us, we could find the woman almost instantly. The bad fuel was cleaned up and removed so she could go home to the hotel she was living at. Despite the fact that we got thoroughly drenched, it was all worth the effort seeing her drive off calm and a lot less apprehensive. A misfuel correction in Berkshire done well in my books!

AdBlue Contamination

All around Berkshire we have noticed a growing number of occurrences of AdBlue contamination where someone has put AdBlue directly into their diesel fuel tank. This is in part as a result of people not being aware of the right way to work with it (remember: it's not a fuel additive), and to some extent because the inlets for diesel and AdBlue are typically directly near to each other on the car.

Well, what exactly is the trouble with having AdBlue in a diesel car? Seeing that the product is mainly ionised water, it is actually as bad as putting water in to your tank. Diesel and water do not blend in the slightest and trying to run a diesel car on water isn't going to work. In addition to this, the urea is fairly corrosive to your fuel system pipes and seals and is more prone to crystalising, obstructing injectors and fuel filters.

Phone us in the event that you are suffering with AdBlue contamination. We can assist. We are Specialists in dealing with contaminated fuel and are able to take care of all types of AdBlue contamination.

Fuel contaminated with water

Water contaminated fuel, whether it is unleaded or diesel, can be an important condition to address in a vehicle - specifically in modern-day common-rail engines. Having water in the diesel or petrol may produce idling problems, irregular running, increased smoke and, if it is not sorted out effectively, in some cases blown injectors. Water in petrol is less complicated to remove when compared with water in diesel - this is primarily due to the fact that diesel is an oil. However we are able to resolve both cases very expediently.

You should know that any time the vehicle was run on the water contamination it will likely require a new fuel filter to be installed because the previous one will undoubtedly be completely wet and ineffective.

Boat Fuel Drains

If it turns out there is the wrong fuel, or even contaminated fuel (most usually water contaminated or old fuel) in a boat we can certainly help clean it out. Providing the boat is either dry-docked, or secured close enough to a vehicle parking spot we will be able to access the storage tanks and drain out the fuel. We have performed quite a few fuel drains at piers and boatyards nationwide.}

Wrong Fuel Assist Warfield - Warfield Vehicle Misfuel

A person contacted us from his house on a street in Warfield. He said, "My vehicle (a Jaguar) is not starting up and is making awful noises when I turn the key." He said that he had put unleaded in his diesel car but then reckoned he would fix the problem by putting additional Diesel on top. We arrived promptly, did the drain and filled it up once again with fresh Diesel. He told us after that he'd be absolutely sure to tell people not to fill up over the incorrect fuel but to have it drained right away.
