It was close to 10 pm on a Thursday and although we were promised a rainless evening, it had not given up on raining! Paul and I were resting there talking about the football, at the ready for the sixth call that day to come in. In due time we got the call from a woman on a company trip who had gone to the Tesco filling garage in Mackworth and filled petrol in a diesel Hyundai rental in error. She was rather troubled by the sounds of it, saying "I still can't believe that I have ruined the vehicle! I'm so used to filling my petrol car I completely didn't remember that I was operating a diesel!" I just advised her to settle back and not to fret, and that such things happen. She managed to relocate the car into a secure spot and, seeing that it was only a few minutes off from our van, we could arrive at her swiftly. The wrong fuel was removed so she was able to return to the hotel she was staying in. Although we got very drenched, it was all worth the time to watch her drive off satisfied and less worried. Another job in Derbyshire well done in my books!
