It was about seven pm on a Wednesday and despite the fact that we were promised a rainless afternoon, it had not ceased pouring down rain! Mark and I were relaxing there going over the weekend's football, ready for the 8th call of the day to come in. Eventually we had a call from a lovely woman on a business expedition who had arrived at the Texaco petrol garage in Chelsfield and filled the wrong fuel in a diesel Audi rental. The unfortunate thing was somewhat irritated by the sounds of it, crying "I still can't believe that I've messed up the car! I'm just so used to putting unleaded in my petrol vehicle I completely didn't remember I was running a diesel!" I just told her to take it easy and not to fret, also that things like this unfortunately often happen. She managed to get the car into a safe position and, as it was no more than a few minutes off from us, we were able to find the woman swiftly. The bad fuel was drained and she could return to the Travelodge she was staying at. Although we got very drenched, it was all worthwhile to watch her drive home contented and not so worried. One more job in Bromley well done in my opinion!

Fuel Drain Chelsfield - Chelsfield Wrong Fuel Assist
I had enjoyed a great evening cycling during the weekend and felt pleased the following morning as I was en route to help a young couple who were vacationing in Chelsfield. They'd stopped after inserting petrol in their Skoda, and they were around an hour away. I emerged at their position and smiled as I listened to the wife chastising her man for turning out to be so confused. "How could you even be able to put the wrong fuel in the car?" she asked him. I tried to clarify that this happens on daily basis in Bromley and that it's absolutely nothing to be concerned about, and yet he still had an ear bashing. Unlucky lad. Anyways, I removed all the contaminated fuel, gave the fuel system a flush and filled them up with the proper fuel. Watching while they drove off I shouted hasta la vista and considered what her indoors would ask me if ever I made the same mistake... I would never hear the end of it!
