AdBlue In Your Diesel

Throughout Westminster we have found progressively more occurrences of AdBlue contamination whereby somebody has put AdBlue directly into their diesel tank. This is to some extent thanks to people not being totally sure how to to make use of (remember: it's actually not a fuel additive), and in part because the filler necks for diesel and AdBlue are frequently directly near to each other on the vehicle.

So, precisely what is the problem with having AdBlue in the diesel tank? Seeing that AdBlue is predominantly deionised water, it's almost the same as pouring water in your tank. Fuel contaminated with water

Water contaminated fuel, whether it is unleaded or diesel, is certainly a significant condition to handle in a vehicle - specifically in modern-day common-rail engines. Water in the fuel tank will likely lead to idling problems, uneven running, excessive smoke and, if not dealt with effectively, potentially broken injectors. Water in petrol is quicker to drain as compared to water in diesel - this is largely due to the fact that diesel is an oil. Having said that we can resolve both situations rather expediently.
