It was just after six pm on a Monday and although we were guaranteed a rainless day, it hadn't given up on pouring! Paul and me were relaxing talking about the recent golf, prepared for the 8th fuel drain for the day to come in. Finally we got a call from a lady on a business expedition who had arrived at the Sainsburys filling garage in Beckenham and put petrol in her diesel SEAT rental car. The unfortunate thing was rather agitated by the sounds of it, crying "I still can't believe that I've ruined the vehicle! I am just so accustomed to filling up my petrol vehicle I completely did not remember that I was using a diesel!" We advised her to take it easy and not to fret, plus that these things do happen. She managed to relocate the car into a protected area and, seeing as it was no more than a short distance off from where we were, we were able to arrive at the customer swiftly. The wrong fuel was cleaned up and removed and she could go home to the Travelodge she was living in. Even though we got really wet, it was all rewarding to see her drive off calm and a lot less anxious. Another job in Bromley done well in my opinion!

AdBlue In your Fuel

What you should do in the event that you may have put Adblue in a Diesel tank? Adblue tends to be disastrous to your vehicle's fuel system, particularly any time you have had the engine running with Adblue in the fuel tank. Whenever the engine has been started up the Adblue will likely be pulled into your fuel lines and will quickly start to crystalise, bringing about disastrous and costly problems to your car's fuel system.

If perhaps you have put AdBlue in your fuel tank remove it right away. And obviously don't switch on the motor - not even to move it to a parking area. In the instance that you did start the vehicle you may in all probability need to have the full fuel system cleaned and fuel filters changed.

Water contaminated fuel

Water contaminated fuel, irrespective of whether it is unleaded petrol or diesel, is generally a significant situation to handle in a car - particularly in advanced common-rail engines. Having water inside your fuel tank is likely to contribute to idling problems, uneven running, excessive smoke and, if it's not dealt with properly, oftentimes ruined injectors. Water in petrol is less complicated to drain than water in diesel - mainly due to the fact that diesel is an oil. In spite of this we can resolve both cases very quickly.

Remember though that if ever the vehicle was started on the water contamination it will very likely need a new fuel filter to be fitted seeing that the old one will undoubtedly be wholly wet and unusable.

Motorboat Fuel Drains

Wrong Fuel Assist Beckenham - Beckenham Wrong Fuel Drain

I had a fantastic day fishing during my afternoon off and felt satisfied with myself the next morning as I set off to help a new couple away in Beckenham. They had pulled over after inserting petrol in their Skoda, and were about half an hour's drive away. I arrived at their position and smiled to myself while I heard to the woman telling her hubby off for being so confused. "How could you actually manage to fill up by using the wrong fuel?" she demanded of him. I attempted to clarify that this comes to pass quite frequently in Bromley and that it is nothing to get worried about, nonetheless he still got an ear bashing. I felt genuine sympathy for the lad. Anyway, I removed the contaminated fuel, gave the fuel system a flush and gave them some right fuel. While they drove away I mouthed bon voyage and thought about what my missus would do to me in the event that I did the very same thing... I would under no circumstances live it down!
