AdBlue In Diesel

All around Essex we have discovered progressively more cases of AdBlue contamination wherein someone has poured AdBlue directly into their diesel tank. This is partly as a result of drivers not being totally sure how to to make use of (note: it's not a fuel additive), and partly due to the fact that the filler caps for diesel and AdBlue are often right next to each other on the automobile.

So, precisely what is the issue with having AdBlue in your diesel vehicle? Seeing that the product is mainly ionised water, it is just like putting water in your tank. Diesel and water really don't mix in any way and trying to run a diesel car on water will never work. In addition, the urea is quite corrosive to your fuel system lines and seals and is prone to crystalising, obstructing injectors and filters.

Give us a call if it turns out you are affected by AdBlue contamination. We will help you. We are Contaminated Fuel Specialists and are able to attend to all types of AdBlue liquid contamination.

Water contaminated fuel

Water contaminated fuel, irrespective of whether it is unleaded or diesel, can be a serious issue to deal with in a vehicle - particularly in modern day common-rail engines. Water inside your fuel tank can easily produce idling issues, lumpy running, abnormal smoke and, if it's not sorted out effectively, quite possibly broken injectors. Having water in petrol is less difficult to clean out as compared with water in diesel - largely due to the fact that diesel is an oil. Nevertheless we can resolve both situations very quickly.

Bear in mind that any time the vehicle has been started on the water contamination it will quite possible require a new fuel filter fitted since the previous one will undoubtedly be thoroughly wet and unusable.
