Services We Give:

Here's a list of the incorrect fuel services we deliver.

AdBlue In your Fuel

All around Gwynedd we are discovering a lot more occurrences of AdBlue contamination when a person has poured AdBlue directly into their diesel tank. This is mainly due to people not knowing the right way to to make use of (important: it's in fact not a fuel additive), and partially because the inlets for diesel and AdBlue are normally directly near to one another on the car.

Now, what's the matter with having AdBlue in a diesel vehicle? Because AdBlue is mostly ionised water, it's just like pouring water into your tank. Diesel and water will not blend in the least and trying to run a diesel car on water does not work. Apart from this, the urea is quite corrosive to fuel system hoses and seals and is at risk of crystallisation, clogging injectors and filters.

Call us if it turns out you are affected by AdBlue contamination. We can help. We are Specialists in dealing with contaminated fuel and will be able to take care of different types of AdBlue liquid contamination.

Water contaminated fuel

Water contaminated fuel, regardless of whether it's unleaded petrol or diesel, is usually an important issue to handle in a car - especially in current day common-rail engines. Having water in the petrol or diesel may well trigger idling problems, lumpy running, abnormal smoke and, if it is not remedied fully, potentially blown injectors. Water in petrol is a lot easier to get rid of as compared with water in diesel - this is largely due to the fact that diesel is an oil. Having said that we can resolve both circumstances pretty quickly.

Keep in mind however that as long as the vehicle was started on the water contaminated fuel it will quite possible require a new fuel filter fitted seeing that the old one will be thoroughly wet and useless.

Marine Fuel Drains

If you find you've got the wrong fuel, or polluted fuel (most typically water contamination or degraded fuel) in a boat we can help clean it out. As long as the boat is either on land, or secured near to an automobile parking spot we can gain access to the tanks and remove the contaminated fuel. We have completed many fuel drains at marinas and boatyards across the country.}

Disposal of Waste Fuel

Have a fuel reservoir laying at the rear of the garden containing out of date, unusable or contaminated fuel? We can help you to get rid of it. We have been called out to numerous privately owned and commercial properties in Gwynedd to take care of removing and disposing of fuel storages. We are registered by the Environment Agency to allow us to remove and recycle waste fuel safely and legally. No matter if the fuel storage is an underground tank, a portable bowser, or perhaps even a few drums in an outbuilding, as long as we can reach it, we are able to drain it.

Out of Fuel Service

Run out of fuel in Porthmadog (out of gas - as our American cousins would say)? We perform a comprehensive Gwynedd Out of Fuel Service. We can come to re-fill your automobile in the event that you are having difficulty on the motorway, roadside far from a petrol station, or perhaps even at home. Our specialists can attend with 10-20 litres of fuel (acquired at cost) and fill up your automobile. They will be able to take care of the usual problems which may go with running out of fuel - for example airlocks, vehicle unable to start, or maybe flat batteries due to over-cranking.

A lady from Porthmadog with a full car of kids in her diesel Citroen had filled her vehicle with £50 of petrol at the petrol station. She called us sobbing and really distraught as she had never filled up with the wrong fuel before and did not know what would happen to her vehicle in doing so. We assured her that all should be okay and that she would be back on the road in no time at all. When we arrived on scene she was still upset but as our engineer started work on the fuel drain she calmed down since she discovered that help was at hand and her vehicle wasn't ruined.
