It was before ten pm on a Saturday and even though we were promised a dry and fresh afternoon, it hadn't ceased raining! James and I were relaxing going over the weekend's footy, prepared for the next job to come in. Before long we had the phone call from a lady on a business excursion who had pulled into the Sainsburys filling garage in Ramsgate and put the wrong fuel in her diesel Ford lease car by mistake. The unfortunate thing was quite irritated by the sounds of it, stating "I still cannot believe I have ruined the vehicle! I'm so familiar with filling my petrol vehicle I completely did not remember I was using a diesel!" We advised her to take it easy and not to be concerned, also that such things do happen. She had managed to maneuver the vehicle into a safe spot and, seeing as it was only a few miles away from the office, we could get to the lady quickly. The contaminated fuel was extracted and she was able to get back to the Travelodge she was lodging at. Despite the fact we got very wet, it was all worthwhile seeing her drive off satisfied and less concerned. A fuel drain in Kent well done in my mind!

AdBlue In Diesel

All around Kent we have encountered an increasing number of cases of AdBlue contamination when someone has put AdBlue into their diesel fuel tank. This is mostly thanks to drivers not being aware of the right way to work with it (take note: it is in fact not a fuel additive), and partly due to the fact that the filler caps for diesel and AdBlue are typically directly next to each other on the automobile.

Now, precisely what is the matter with having AdBlue in a diesel vehicle? Because the product is predominantly ionised water, it's almost the same as pouring water in to your tank. Diesel and water don't mix in the least and trying to run a diesel car on water cannot work. In addition, the urea is incredibly corrosive to your fuel system hoses and seals and is more prone to crystalising, damaging injectors and fuel filters.

If you put AdBlue into your fuel tank get it out asap. And certainly take care not to crank the vehicle - not even to relocate it into a parking place. In the event that you did start the car you would in all likelihood need to have the whole fuel system flushed and filters replaced.

Water contaminated fuel

Water contaminated fuel, no matter whether it's petrol or diesel, is undoubtedly a serious situation to take care of in a car - particularly in modern-day common-rail engines. Putting water in the fuel tank can potentially contribute to idling problems, uneven running, excessive smoke and, if it is not taken care of effectively, oftentimes ruined injectors. Water in petrol is less complicated to get rid of than water in diesel - this is primarily because diesel is an oil. However we can solve both situations fairly expediently.

Take note that whenever the vehicle was run on the water contamination it will likely need a new fuel filter to be installed simply because the old one will probably be completely water-logged and ineffective.

Boat Fuel Drains

If perhaps you have the wrong fuel, or contaminated fuel (most commonly water contamination or degraded fuel) in a boat we can certainly help clean it out. As long as the boat is either dry-docked, or situated near to a motor vehicle parking spot we should be able to gain access to the fuel storage and drain out the contaminated fuel. We have performed numerous fuel drains at marinas and boatyards throughout the country.}

Waste Fuel Disposal

Have a fuel reservoir placed in the back of the garden with unwanted, unusable or degraded fuel? We're able to assist you to dispose of it. We've been called out to several privately owned and industrial properties in Kent to take care of taking away and disposing of fuel storages. We are licenced by the Environment Agency to enable us to remove and recycle waste fuel safely and legally. Regardless of whether the fuel storage is an underground reservoir, a mobile bowser, or even numerous containers in a garage, assuming that we are able to access it, we can empty it for you.

Wrong Fuel Assist Ramsgate - Ramsgate Wrong Fuel Drain

I had a wonderful day cycling on the weekend and felt satisfied with myself the next day as I headed out to help a young family holidaying in Ramsgate. They conked out after inserting the wrong fuel into their Audi, and the car was about an hour's drive away. I got there at their car and laughed as I listened to the girl telling off her hubby for actually being so foolish. "Precisely how could you conceivably find a way to put the wrong fuel in the car?" she said to him. I tried to tell her that this takes place regularly in Kent and that it is nothing to be anxious about, nonetheless he all the same had an earful by his better half. Unlucky lad. Anyway, I removed all of the polluted fuel, flushed the fuel system and gave it some appropriate fuel. Watching while they drove away I mouthed good-bye and wondered what her indoors would say to me in the event that I did the exact same thing... I'd personally never live it down!
