AdBlue In Diesel

Throughout Hampshire we have discovered a lot more examples of AdBlue contamination when someone has poured AdBlue into their diesel tank. Diesel and water will not mix in the slightest and trying to run a diesel car on water cannot work. Additionally, the urea is incredibly corrosive to fuel system lines and seals and is prone to crystallisation, clogging injectors and filters.

In the event that you poured AdBlue in a fuel tank get it drained as quickly as possible. And obviously don't switch on the car - not even to shift it off of the pump. If perhaps you did start the vehicle you may almost certainly need to have the entire fuel system flushed and fuel filters changed out.

Water contaminated fuel
